Francesco Arese Visconti
Arese Visconti’s research explores the identity of migrants in their process of integration. In his current work, Francesco investigates with photographs and interviews the status of Italians who migrated to the French part of Switzerland in the 1960s and the different generations that followed them. While the status as ‘migrants’ of the first and subsequent generations of migrants may be similar, each individual reveals different aspects of identity influenced by their personal experience, education and work environment.
Francesco Arese Visconti is the Head of the Media Communications Department and Photography Program Coordinator at Webster University Geneva. He is a member of the Union Suisse des Photographes Professionnels (USPP).
